MacKenzie Atlantic hosted a federal funding announcement today where MP Sean Fraser and Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland announced funding of $2.5 million to help six Nova Scotia steel and aluminum companies invest in state-of-the-art automation technology.
MacKenzie Atlantic will be investing in two Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and a robot to load and unload the machine, creating a fully automated production line that will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This project will position the company to grow further by attracting new, international contracts to the region.
